In line with its strategy to adopt the highest safety standards in its operations, Emirates Steel, the only integrated steel plant in the UAE, owned by Senaat, held lately it’s “Suppliers Safety Day”. The event took place at Hilton Abu Dhabi Hotel and was attended by the company’s suppliers, contractors, Emirates Steel’s officials and safety professionals.
The event, aimed at discussing safety priorities and procedures for suppliers and consultants in compliance with Emirates Steel’s vision to provide and maintain a healthy and safe work environment for its suppliers and employees, and establish a culture of safety awareness within the minds of its stakeholders through applying the best practices and standards in the industry to support improving productivity and efficiency within the company’s operations.
The meeting represented an excellent platform to discuss the best practices and new technologies applied by Emirates Steel to improve safety environment within its suppliers operations, exchange experiences, network and share the latest thinking on different aspects of operating in a safe mode.
Emirates Steel dedicated its presentation to the company’s vision and safety goals and showcased during the event a number of innovations and initiatives adopted to ensure safe and smooth process for its suppliers and partners stressing on the importance given to this issue.
