Propelled by the spirit of giving, Emirates Steel, the only integrated steel plant in the UAE, owned by Senaat, in collaboration with Agthia has rolled out phase one of its 2016 CSR initiative “We Give You Smile” that is designed to help needy families in the UAE during the Holy month of Ramadan.
In line with the spirit of unity and as part of this campaign, Emirates Steel has engaged its staff to distribute conveniently packed boxes of essential Ramadan food items to families across the country.
The aim of this campaign is to strengthen Emirates Steel’s relationship and interaction with the community and give back to those who are most in need which will contribute towards cementing the values of giving, solidarity and cooperation between the company’s staff and society.
On this regard, H.E. Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, Emirates Steel’s CEO said:” In Emirates Steel, we are committed to support the empowerment of families and society, promotion of stability, maintenance of the social fabric and protection of its integrity, our CSR initiatives aim to contribute towards the development process of the community throughout the country, he added:” This year’s initiative targeted Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and next year we are planning to reach out for more families across the whole country. I would like to thank Aqthia for their contribution to the project and look forward to welcoming more partners onboard”.
By activating such CSR initiatives, Emirates Steel further enhance cooperation between various sectors for the benefit of the public, and reflects the Holy month spirit to give to the less fortunate and improve their lives. The food packages contained basic food items used usually during the month of Ramadan and are enough to provide fora full month.
Emirates Steel’s We Give You Smile” CSR initiative aims to engage with the community and add happiness to people’s lives. The initiative will tackle social, human and educational issues with activities that intend to give back the community and help improving the quality of life for needy people.
