Emirates Steel, the only integrated steel plant in the UAE, owned by SENAAT, partook, as a Golden Partner, in the “Linkages between Industries Event” organized by Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development on Tuesday 20th September 2016 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center ADNEC.
Emirates Steel’s participation represented the company’s keenness to be part of the government’s mission to support economic diversification and growth and encourage engagement between the public and private sectors in Abu Dhabi. The company’s delegation; led by H.E. Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, Emirates Steel CEO; included senior management, in addition to representatives from government entities, government owned enterprises operating in the industrial field, more than 400 Small & Medium Enterprises and media representatives.
At the event, H.E. Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, CEO, Emirates Steel said:” Linkages between Industries Event is an excellent platform for potential investment opportunities and cooperation for both business owners and investors in Abu Dhabi”. He added:” Emirates Steel plays a vital role in supporting the growth of the country’s non-oil GDP in line with Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 through providing SME’s within the downstream manufacturing industries with variety of steel products, therefore we are keen to further collaborate with all partners from other government entities, investors and SME’s to achieve this goal and promote this sector”.
Emirates Steel was mainly established to fulfill the needs of economy diversification plans led by the government to facilitate infrastructure developments and industrial growth where steel plays an essential role.
