Held under the patronage of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Emirates Steel, the only integrated steel plant in the UAE, owned by SENAAT, participated for the 2nd consecutive year in the 19th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) 2016.
During the exhibition, Emirates Steel presented its unique steel product range of medium, heavy and jumbo sections used for construction purposes in sectors such as oil & gas offshore and onshore platforms, and other electrical transmission and petrochemical industries, alongside world’s industry giants and most prominent oil and gas companies and suppliers.
Speaking at the prestigious event, HE Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, CEO of Emirates Steel said:” we offer the highest standards of steel applications specially developed to supply for oil & gas industry. Emirates Steel, currently the only producer of jumbo and heavy sections in the Middle East, has been witnessing significant growth in its attempts to build its product portfolio of Heavy Sections, this involved the construction and operation of Heavy and Jumbo Sections Rolling Mill at a cost of US$ 1.9 billion and resulted in an increase in the rolling capacity of the Company to nearly 3.5 million MTPA.
Emirates Steel’s range of structural sections varies from approximately 200 to 1,016 millimeters in depth, including jumbo sections, its Heavy Sections Mill produce parallel-flange beams, columns, and bearing piles with up to 1,016 millimeter web depth and 427 flange widths, and parallel flange channels up to 430 millimeter depth.
Growth drive continues with the company’s new customized sheet pile designs manufactured in grades meeting the EN S355 GP, S390 GP and S430 GP standards.
Emirates Steel’s client portfolio includes some of the most known names within the oil and gas sector, excellence centers in the GCC, India, USA, national and international oil and gas companies, oilfield service providers, energy sector and related companies across the region. The company has been a key supplier of steel to some major projects within the industry, and has earned approvals from leading oil and gas companies in the region and worldwide.
The company’s current product range includes; straight length reinforcing bar (rebar) and rebar in coil, wire rod, hot rolled structural steel sections, ( beams, columns, channels and sheet piles), in addition to value-added products; a stronger steel with higher tensile strengths and steels with special mechanical properties so that lesser quantity of steel is required by customers.
