Michael Rion, Chief Commercial Officer at Emsteel, delivered an impactful presentation on “Decoupling Ironmaking from Steelmaking” at the Fastmarkets International Iron Ore & Green Steel Summit 2024 in Vienna. He highlighted Emirates Steel Arkan’s pioneering decarbonization efforts, being the first steel company to capture CO2 emissions and the first in the MENA region to use green hydrogen for green steel production.
