As part of its leading role in the steel and construction materials industry, Emirates Steel Arkan hosted an event to showcase its commitment to sustainability, safety, and innovation. The event was attended by over 500 employees and contractors, in addition to more than 20 companies and partners who participated, showcasing their sustainability initiatives, innovative solutions, and safety equipment. The event included a series of engaging lectures delivered by a diverse range of ESA staff members and guest speakers on various topics such as digitization, decarbonization, women’s empowerment, energy management, and supply chains.

#EmiratesSteelArkan has signed the Real Estate Climate Pledge, in partnership with Aldar Properties and the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment. The signing took place during the 9th meeting of the National Dialogue for Climate Ambition, which was held under the theme of “Decarbonising the Buildings Sector” to support the UAE’s Net Zero Strategic Initiative. By signing the pledge, Emirates Steel Arkan reaffirms its commitment to sustainability. We believe that by working together, we can create a better future for ourselves and for generations to come. #Sustainability

Eng. Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, Group CEO of #EmiratesSteelArkan, joined the panel discussion held by ENGIE titled “Journey to COP 28 – Corporate role in supporting governments to achieve net zero carbon targets”. With a backdrop of COP28 taking place in the region, the event, held under the theme “Defining the Pathway to a Carbon Neutral Economy”, aims to address the challenges in navigating energy transition with the governments and private sector working together. Joined by H.E. Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, UAE Minister of Climate Change & Environment and other experts in the field, our Group CEO discussed how public and private sectors can work together to accelerate #energy efficiency and #decarbonization. They also debated challenges faced by organizations in reducing carbon emissions and achieving government net-zero targets. Emirates Steel Arkan is committed to continuing its sustainability efforts through the development of #greensteel products and the exploration of various decarbonization methods.
